PRIVACY & MEASUREMENT
A clear account of what we process and why.
We separate essential processing from optional product and advertising measurement. Optional measurement is on by default; turn it off anytime in the footer’s Analytics settings. We respect existing opt-outs and your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal.
Processing required to provide the service
Login sessions, PDF analyses you request, storage and sharing settings, security, and incident diagnostics are processed to deliver the product.
- Private results are accessible only to the signed-in owner. A result becomes public only when its owner chooses to share it.
- Operational logs may contain the feature used, success or failure status, and processing time.
- Account and stored-data deletion and retention controls are available on My page.
Information processed by the Chrome application assistant
The extension helps with applications you start on employer sites you allow. It does not collect your entire browsing history or submit an application on its own.
- Full page HTML and existing field values remain in the browser. Only the necessary field descriptions and constraints are sent to CareerSSOT to match your saved experience.
- When you request a draft or conversation, the required career evidence and question are processed through the OpenAI API with response storage disabled. The provider’s separate security and retention policies still apply.
- Private application details and reusable answers are encrypted when you choose to remember them. Conversation transcripts and summaries belong to the application; suggestions do not change canonical career facts automatically.
- Revoke connected devices on My page. Forget remembered information in the panel, and export or delete conversations. Account deletion requests include a seven-day cancellation window.
- Value-free reports retain success, failure and review-needed states. HTML, questions, answers, filenames and URL queries are excluded from advertising and product analytics tools and ABTO.
Analytics used by default
We use Google Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and ABTO product events. Optional measurement stays off when you choose Essential only or enable Global Privacy Control.
- We measure page paths, button actions, campaign attribution, and successful outcomes.
- An internal user identifier may be connected to PostHog and ABTO so signed-in product journeys can continue across visits.
- Meta receives only bounded ad attribution and conversion events such as signup or free-tool completion; resume content, filenames, and email addresses are excluded.
- PostHog replay masks input values and page text in production.
Change your choice or contact us
Use ‘Analytics settings’ in the footer to allow or withdraw optional measurement at any time. Withdrawing reloads the page so loaded tools can stop cleanly.
- Essential-only mode still supports PDF analysis, login, saving, and sharing.
- For privacy or data-processing questions, use the feedback control at the bottom-right of the page.
